Luce Gallery è lieta di presentare E Ancora Primavera, la prima mostra personale di Silvia Rosa con la Galleria.
La mostra riunisce un nuovo corpus di opere in cui la pittura si configura come un dispositivo di trasformazione dell'immagine. Attraverso un processo di accumulazione, cancellazione e riattivazione, Silvia Rosa costruisce uno spazio visivo nel quale memoria personale, storia delle immagini e immaginario collettivo confluiscono in una materia pittorica in costante ridefinizione.
Le opere nascono dalla rielaborazione di un vasto archivio personale, costituito da immagini raccolte, ricordate e depositate nel tempo. Ciò che interessa all'artista non è tuttavia il recupero delle fonti, bensì il processo attraverso cui queste vengono assimilate dal flusso dell'esperienza visiva fino a perdere la propria riconoscibilità: le figure che abitano i dipinti si allontanano progressivamente dalle loro origini per entrare in una dimensione instabile, dove memoria individuale e patrimonio iconografico condiviso finiscono per sovrapporsi e contaminarsi reciprocamente.
La ripetizione, elemento centrale nella ricerca di Rosa, non coincide con la reiterazione dell’identico; diventa piuttosto uno strumento capace di rendere visibile il tempo dell’immagine, il suo progressivo mutare e la sua capacità di attraversare stati e stratificazioni differenti mantenendo intatta una tensione interna.
La pittura diventa così il luogo in cui le forme sono sottoposte a continui slittamenti: figure, frammenti anatomici, richiami iconografici e campiture cromatiche emergono e si dissolvono all’interno di una struttura aperta, in costante ridefinizione. L’immagine non si presenta mai come una forma conclusa, ma come un processo che si manifesta sulla superficie del dipinto, facendo della forma un organismo in continuo divenire.
Al centro della ricerca di Rosa vi è l'osservazione dei processi attraverso cui le forme emergono, si trasformano e si ridefiniscono nel tempo. In questo senso, la ripetizione di forme e colori non coincide mai con la reiterazione dell'identico, ma diventa uno strumento per misurare il continuo mutamento dell'immagine. Lo spazio pittorico si configura come un campo aperto, in costante riorganizzazione, dove elementi figurativi e astratti convivono senza stabilire gerarchie definitive.
L'osservatore avverte una familiarità che non si traduce mai in pieno riconoscimento. Si muove all'interno di immagini che sembrano restituire qualcosa di noto, pur continuando a sfuggire a una lettura univoca. Figure, frammenti e campiture cromatiche oscillano tra presenza e dissolvenza, tra ciò che emerge con chiarezza e ciò che resta in sospeso. È in questo spazio di tensione che la pittura trova la propria forza, invitando lo sguardo a confrontarsi non solo con ciò che vede, ma anche con ciò che rimane aperto, indefinito.
In questa continua riattivazione dell'immagine, ciò che sembrava essersi sedimentato riaffiora sotto forme inattese.
E Ancora Primavera non allude a una stagione, ma a una condizione di permanente rigenerazione. Le immagini, i corpi e le memorie che abitano questi dipinti non cessano di trasformarsi, dando origine a nuove possibilità di relazione e di senso. Come una fioritura che continuamente si rinnova, ogni forma contiene la traccia di ciò che è stata e l'apertura verso ciò che potrebbe ancora diventare.
Biografia
Silvia Rosa (Latina, 1998) vive e lavora a Milano.
Nel 2025 consegue il Diploma Accademico di II livello in Pittura presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, dopo aver ottenuto nel 2020 il Diploma Accademico di I livello in Pittura presso la RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts di Roma.

Luce Gallery is pleased to present E Ancora Primavera, Silvia Rosa’s first solo exhibition with the Gallery.
The exhibition brings together a new body of work in which painting functions as a device for the transformation of images. Through a process of accumulation, erasure, and reactivation, Silvia Rosa constructs a visual space where personal memory, the history of images, and the collective imagination converge within a pictorial materiality that is constantly being redefined.
The works emerge from the reworking of a vast personal archive made up of images collected, remembered, and preserved over time. What interests the artist, however, is not the recovery of these sources, but rather the process through which they are absorbed into the flow of visual experience until they lose their recognizability. The figures that inhabit the paintings gradually move away from their origins, entering an unstable dimension where individual memory and a shared iconographic heritage overlap and mutually contaminate one another.
Repetition, a central element in Rosa’s practice, does not coincide with the reiteration of the same. Rather, it becomes a tool capable of making visible the temporality of the image—its gradual transformation and its ability to move through different states and layers while preserving an internal tension.
Painting thus becomes a site where forms are subjected to continuous shifts. Figures, anatomical fragments, iconographic references, and fields of color emerge and dissolve within an open structure that is constantly being redefined. The image never appears as a finished form, but as a process unfolding across the surface of the painting, turning form itself into an organism in a state of continuous becoming.
At the core of Rosa’s research is the observation of the processes through which forms emerge, transform, and redefine themselves over time. In this sense, the repetition of forms and colors never amounts to the repetition of the identical; instead, it becomes a means of measuring the image’s ongoing transformation. The pictorial space takes shape as an open field in constant reorganization, where figurative and abstract elements coexist without establishing fixed hierarchies.
The viewer experiences a sense of familiarity that never fully translates into recognition. One moves through images that seem to evoke something known, yet continue to resist a singular interpretation. Figures, fragments, and fields of color oscillate between presence and dissolution, between what emerges clearly and what remains suspended. It is within this space of tension that painting finds its strength, inviting the viewer to engage not only with what is visible, but also with what remains open and undefined.
In this continual reactivation of the image, what once seemed settled and sedimented resurfaces in unexpected forms.
E Ancora Primavera does not refer to a season, but to a condition of perpetual regeneration. The images, bodies, and memories that inhabit these paintings never cease to transform, giving rise to new possibilities for connection and meaning. Like a bloom that continuously renews itself, each form contains the trace of what it has been and an opening toward what it may still become.
Biography
Silvia Rosa (Latina, 1998) lives and works in Milan.
In 2025, she received her Master’s Degree in Painting from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, following her Bachelor’s Degree in Painting from RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts in Rome, obtained in 2020.
